Thinking of going to FoD on Easter Monday. Is it mentally busy on holiday weekends? I've only been on normal weekends and that's with the nippers on the family trail. Was thinking of doing the Enduro route. I'm a bit of a pootler, so might get in the way if it is super full. Locals - is it nuts?
Yes it will be busy at the centre, alternative parking at Beechenhurst is easy enough.
Enduro route needs GPS not way marked, you'll be fine.
Have fun
The FoD is a massive place, its not just the two trail at the centre.
Get an OS map and go and explore, you will be on your own 10 mins from the car park.

this..
although spend some time looking at strava as most stuff is tough to find without local knowledge
Conditions there are amazing at the moment, especially off-piste. Hope it holds up for the bank holiday.
Trails will be busy, I'd say the biggest problem will be getting a brew in the cafe as it's painfully slow service most of the time.
Yes conditions were great Tuesday all the Dowies and Shutcastle ones were dusty ,going to rain a bit Thursday Good Friday dry and PISS IT down Saturday
It gets busy at the bottom, but even on the main trails you don't tend to see that many people. The Enduro route isn't ridden by most people as they tend to stick with Verderers, FreeMiners, family trail or the DH tracks. Even on a BH I'm impressed with how peaceful the trails are.
We might well be up there ourselves if we don't go walking in Snowdonia or the Lakes.
And the conditions are perfect at the moment (although personally I prefer them slightly damp rather than bone dry).

Cheers, if it's not absolutely hacking down with rain, I'll give the enduro trail a spin - got it on the gps. Has been raining here for a good hour now, though.
