Hiya,

I've literally just got back from the fod, it's a bit boggy in places but the rest of it was fine. It was very busy though and will be even busier tomorrow as the 661 mini dh race is on.

You can always park at Beechinghurst car park and ride across to the Pedalway and the verdeerers.Nicer cafe there ๐Ÿ˜†

If you Google map, put in Beechenhurst! (It's about 1/2 mile from Pedalabikeaway towards Cinderford).

Got that cheers. Looks pretty straight forward.
Next trip to Cwm Rhaeder, then a look at F.O.D. Will try Beechenhust cafe, should be quieter ๐Ÿ˜€

Cwm Rhaeadr is a great track (after the slog to the top!). Well worth the trip if only for the one trail. Makes a great weekend coupled with the Doethie Valley. 8)

Just for information, Beechenhurst is much more the 'family' destination in FoD with childrens' play area, picnic areas, shop, etc.. Certainly a lot less cyclists about but not necessarily quieter.

Cwm only hour from home, so probably a few laps will be in order.
Do you know how it compares to Gorlech, the wall or whites?

Dean Forest Cycles should be considered at parkend, ok a little further off family trail but the cakes are awesome ๐Ÿ™‚

Dean forest cycles looks a bit out of the way TBH. Nota straightforward cyce to trailhead, but thanks for the input, much appreciated.
