Bargaintastic flared bars from Ribble here at £6
https://www.ribblecycles.co.uk/level-gravel-alloy-6061-31-8-flared-bar-black-42cm/

As a result, I need some new bar tape. So what bar tape for gravel that doesn't cost x5 more than my new bars?

Cinelli cork. I’m on my second wrap of the stuff on my gravel bike and I find it wears well, is a decent thickness and offers good grip in all conditions.

Just wrapped my new Ritcheys in Cinelli black cork. Super comfy, easy to rewrap when you bugger up because it's not adhesive, not expensive. I like it.

@matt_outandabout Have your bars arrived yet? I'm victim to ParcelFarce who have twice lied by saying they tried to deliver when they have not been anywhere near my house (I WFH so I know I have not missed delivery and no card left). So no bars yet and Ribble are saying its nothing to do with them.

I know this is more expensive but it's washable and reusable as long as you don't drop the bike and rip it.

https://alpkit.com/products/grepp-handlebar-tape

Currently £5 off and only £25 and if your a member and leave a review you get a £5 voucher for next time.

It's thier responsibility until they are delivered.

Thanks for the psa, I've just bought a pair of flared bars along with a seatpost. Much cheapness.

Whatever cheap thick black cork are good. I prefer the ones with a silicon backer to sticky back ones.

It turns out that Parcelforce have tried, and failed, to deliver 4 times. The delivery failed due to Ribble not putting my actual address on the package, only my postcode. Parcelforce can't amend it without instruction from customer, but I don't pass their security questions as my address doesn't match the address they don't have.

Bars turned up yesterday at 6th delivery attempt. Looks like ParcelFarce had be lying as my address was correct on the package, in fact it was on there twice.

Oh, and there were two sets of bars in the box. Although that may have been order error on my part!

If they were £6 you would have ordered two I expect, just to make sure.

I got some of the carbon aero bars for my make-do-until-it's-new-bike-time gravel build, they almost ended up on my good bike they're so nice, I probably should have ordered two as well.

I got some Alien Pro wrap stuff from Amazon and it's super comfy and looks good, but it's all much of a muchness really, apart from the stuff that's fake leather, which is horrible!
