Hoping to take advantage of the great 5.10 sale at CRC and was wondering , my riding is mainly red/black XC stuff and the biggest drop /jump I'll ever entertain is 3 - 4 feet.
Should I go for Impact lo 2 , Impacts or just Freeriders. ?
Freeriders can be worn down the pub without getting funny looks , Also Im a 9.5 in shimano spd's so does that make me a 9 in 5.10's. ?

I tried the freeriders and they are "ok" but went back to Impact 2s. They look a bit funny but are the best biking shoe ever IMO.
They size accurately against your nominal shoe size. I'd say get the ones that don't have the cardboard midsole and soak up water like a sponge. It's my personal belief that there isn't really a drought. It's just that more people are using 5.10 shoes now. 20% of what was in the water table is now in their shoes.
Freeriders for me. Love them.
Impact was OK but a bit bulky.
Love my Freeriders. I like them better than my Sam Hills.
