Hi there,
I have a Trek/GF Paragon 29er and wanted to change the non QR seatpost clamp to a QR one.
The post is 27.2mm
The one that was fitted on it and that fits states it is a 32mm and the one that I have bought says it is 33 - the qr one.
I cannot for love nor money seem to be able to get it on.
Is there a technique to this??

I think you've bought the wrong size haven't you?
If the old one was 32 then that's what you'd need.

well, yeah, but he has a nominally bigger one - should drop on easy
(have you opened it up? 😳 )
(there's a lip inside the collar too - that needs to be at the top)
