[#5173772]

Finally got a day off and want to get to Wales.

It's hard to work out just how hard/technical some of these trails are.... I'm fit can manage Swinley and Cannock but technical meister/courageous I am not given my home ground is the Chilterns.

Rocky drops, lots of loose stuff and or technical plus big exposure is not me.

I am considering Twrch and or W2/Skyline. Are these OK, are there better or would I be better off heading back to Cannock ๐Ÿ™‚ I'd rather have fun than travel a long way to be overfaced.

try them all! Degla is very comparable to Cannock, a bit easier imo, if you haven't done any then I would start there and it's the closest one to that part of England, I take you're midlands?

as a chilterns rider, you will be fine with afan/cwm carn

its a step up, the ups are bigger, the downs are longer some of it is loose and some of it is a little exposed (compared to the chilterns)

you wont regret it.
