Rebound knob on my forks just catches the centre of the gusset between downtube and headtube
Would I better off just taking some of the metal away from the gusset with a file?
which frame?

Depends how much and what frame really.
It isn't really a problem - your forks will never turn that far during riding.
If it really bothers you, look for a higher stack headset.

They may during crashing. I'd file the knob before the frame.
are people mental now ? did folk get stupid over night ?
fit a 5mm raised crown race - wont catch any more ....
James, what headset and fork combo is it?
I think you could dent the gusset with a hammer - would probably be better than filing it.
Lighter oil in the fork and wind the rebound knob down!
Can you get taller crown races for reducer headsets?

To be fair, we're just answering a question, not trying to troubleshoot ๐

WHich bit of the fork do you reckon goes up and down onzadog? ๐
It worked on my Van 36RC2 forks. I didn't need to change the oil but the rebound adjuster caught the underside of the down tube. Now I've set the rebound adjuster, it just clears. The adjuster screws in and out relative to the crown.
Love it...designer says ****t it with a hammer! ๐
