Has anyone here got one and what do you think?
I'm in the market for a sub £1k 29er hardtail. This or should I be considering something else. Not keen on the graphics but spec looks hard to beat......
I've got one. Its a great bike and spec. Brakes were not as 'snappy' as I expected if that makes sense? Coming from XT's the guides are still good but just not as quick to bite. Fork is great but I have nothing to compare it to although lockout stopped working once for an unknown reason and is a bit noisy when compressing.
I would recommend it but check everything over when you get it from halfords, my seatpost is all scratched and have been waiting on a replacement for over a month now.
You can get it for around £750 if you follow this guide. British cycling and gift vouchers takes 20% off. Then wait for a 10% off weekend / 'flash sale' which they normally do at lunchtimes brings it down a couple hundred.

Thank you 7600e. As I've always had Shimano the sram stuff is a bit of an unknown for me. I've read good reviews of the Guide brakes but hope they turn out to be more reliable than previous Avids.
Good tips on the discount.ID heard about the British cycling discount but not the other tips. Time to sign up to Halforda newsletter.
Also, how do you find the sizing? Guide seems to suggest at 6,0 ft I'd be best on the 19 large......
I'm 5ft8 and have the medium 18" which fits me well so I'd go with the large if I were you.
You can order in more than one to collect and pick whichever one fits best.
The guy in the store told me to go with the large but it was too big for me, he just wanted to make the sale.
I managed to get a go on one today. Geo and sizing of the 19" was spot on.This looks like the leading contender for me at the moment.I'm also going to try the Pinnacle Ramin.
