A friend in Oregon suggested this facebook page for some extended trail rides and Bikepacking routes in Oregon and Southwest Washington.
Its got to be worth sharing.
Waldo Lake is a lovely spot - highest clarity in the US or summink. You can see down into it forever! Mozzies devour you when you puncture though.
I've around Waldo Lake too. In September it's a bit cooler and the mosquitos were all but gone. As you say the water is super clear, my eyesight ran out before the water clarity. Heading back there again in September and cant wait.

My cousin lives in Bend,It's a beautiful place! I highly recommend Oregon if you like the outdoors. Plus the skiing at mt bachelor is excellent.
