Yeah that's a nasty rocky surface to land your face on mate. Your brain has wisely flushed your short term memory buffer. I think Mendips won that round but you'll be back. Good job David.

Is your bike ok?

This is my concern. I walked off the hill with it and the bars were bent, but full the examination will be later.

My eyelids are full now, the blood is draining down into my cheek.

Clearly your memory loss has included the 40ft double you backflipped off. You landed it fine, the reason for the crash was the outstretched dive required to save a small child from falling to certain death off the hill.

Heal fast mate. I think I've met you on the Mendips or Purbecks, or maybe even Dartmoor, but I'd need to see your whole face to be sure 😉
