Isn't that Buzz Lightyear??
Oooooof!
Thats a good one. hope he feels better soon.
He he!! Evil Dead!
Goodness! He reminds me of Bruce Campbell in that pic.. ๐ Hope he heals well, did he get poked in the eye? What happenend?
Ooof!
...and *swoon*
Impressive. How's the ground?
Good pirate impression there!
Pah, if he washed his face and took off that eye patch he'd look completely normal.
No it's not Buzz. Apparently he can't remember what happened...
Blimey, he seems to have landed on right eye! I'm glad he still has all his teeth.
Rest easy Colin. Hope to see you soon.
Ouch! Get well soon!
Is that the outline of his helmet I can see imprinted on his forehead?
Can we please have some info/debate on whether he was wearing a helmet 'which saved his life'? ๐
He was wearing a helmet - I dread to think what would have happened if he had not been ๐ฏ
Halloween's 31st October.
Get well soon buddy. I'm gutted I missed the initial giggle of the crash followed by the 'ooooh, you ok mate'
Eeeeeeeeeee...
Looks a bit like George Michael?
OUch - heal quickly dude !
There was no giggle. Just a crash, silence and loads of claret.
he must be very flexible, fnarrIs that the outline of his helmet I can see imprinted on his forehead?
No thats the tight bandage to staunch blood flow
Great job getting him to hospital Dave, must had been a tad scary!
ouch !!!!!!!
Blimey! Heal quick ๐
Where did this happen David?
Ouch! Get well soon. ๐
My mate did that on 2009 Newnham 60 ride but broke his neck and pushed his teeth into his lip!
Ouch! Get well soon, remember, chicks dig scars
Allegedly.......
The girlfriend wants to know what colour eye shadow he's wearing in the first photo !
Looks painful. Glad there wasn't any "real" damage ๐
hope you heal up soon!
Thankyou all, well-wishers and piss takers is equal measure!
Rest assured, the real world of work has also been full of pirate and evil dead comparisons.
I threw the deformed dude from the film '300' into the mix too.
I seem to be generally well enough, but I do feel like I've been hit by a truck.
Big props to Candodavid for doing what friends do. I salute you sir.
It happened on a completely ordinary, loose stone double track I've ridden probably a couple of hundred times - Perhaps a 'case of familiarity breeds contempt'. For those in the know, this was between Warren House (demolished) and Rowberrow bottom on the Mendips.
As to what happened - no idea, the last I recall was thinking 'Oooh, front wheel drift on the loose' next thing I know is Dave telling me to stay still.
From the look of other more ancillary damage about my person, it looks like a front wheel tuck with enough speed to roll over with the bike completely and then the bike slamming into the ground, thus stopping the next roll. Its all supposition though.
I was wearing a helmet, it is cracked and, given the scale of the bruising and depth of cuts, I'm pretty certain it prevented me from pushing little bits of skull and rock into my brain.
I seem to be generally well enough, but I do feel like I've been hit by a truck.
If it's any consolation, you look like you have been hit by a truck.

Scoreboard says 7.8!!

Thanks.
14stone of braking through ones face does seem to be similar! ๐ณ
crikey ๐ฏ
heal soon
Can you try it again without a helmet? - all in the interests of science ๐
Glad yer OK apart from a fine collection of bruises
hmmm, I think not. ๐ฏ
ooooooof........!
there's an enormous tadpole stuck to your eyelid in that second pic..
Bring your bike back in a bit
Pfffhh
All these posts and no one has asked THE most important question
Is your bike ok?
