...set up a Facebook account for a company?

I've seen the link at the bottom of the sign up page that says create entry for company etc, but this appears to default to a page with a URL facebook.com/pages/example

Not all product/ company pages seem to be listed in this way, e.g.

I'm not normally this thick, but I really can't see what am I doing wrong or not doing?

Thanks,

Ian

p.s. this is for a bike related product...

20 people need to like the page before you can set up the proper URL. You're stuck with the extra /page until then.

When it's set up, you'll get to hear about it - don't worry 😉

They've recently changed it to needing 100 likes, which is a bit of a pain, but understandable, I suppose, given how easy it is to get 20 likes.

Pete, yes that's the sort of thing I'm trying to do. Does your wife have a separate account for that page or does she do it off the back of a normal account?

Ian, the doris opened a new account, then seemingly there is a part where you can link your personal account to it, did take some working out if I can remember.
