That'll sort the men from the boys. 12km, 1500m vertical drop. Can't wait to do this in September ๐Ÿ˜€

12km! That's going to hurt. Is that even longer than last year's?

I'll be doing that exact route in a couple of weeks time.

One of my favourites.

Top of the World, Drop-In Clinic,
Duffman, Mackenzie River, back on to Duffman to Golden
Triangle, hammer on the pedals before hitting Del Bocca Vista,
Lower EZ Does it (more pedal time), into loose, dusty, techy
Hornet before boosting off the GLC Drops

Looks like an amazing trail. I'd have to stop for lunch half way i think! I assume that is the new Specialized Enduro he's riding as well.

IMO there are better ways down the hill after TOTW but I'm not sure how much fun they'd be after racing it flat out!

Thanks stevied... I've only got the one day to ride TOTW so is this more fun that the TOTW/Khyber/Babylon... route that had been suggested to me?

My mistake. I assumed that as the vid was sponsored by Specialized it would be a specialized rider.

Yes, it's longer than last years, we rode TOTW into Khybers as one stage & the final stage started at the top of the Garbo lift (Una Moss - No Joke - Freight Train etc). I think the final stage of 2014 was longer than this one though.

No - ride the route you have been suggested, it is significantly better than this (and a lot, lot longer).

I did pretty much that exact route (subbing out ez does it for A-line) only a week ago. The level of fitness required to do that route in one go, and at race pace must be genuinely crazy.

i would be hanging on for dear life trying to ride Duffman after a straight run of top of the world which includes hammering the pedals at every spare moment. ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

It's hard work to race it, especially when it's the last stage of a long day. Thankfully the climbs are a little bit more chilled out than the 'Crankzilla' year in 2014. That race nearly broke me.

Tell me more HN...

TOTW > Khybers > Upper Babalon > Lower Babalon > SCAP > Highside > Highline > Duncans/Business Time.

It's a solid 1-30 mins down to creekside at a reasonable pace with very minimal stops.

Do it & thank me later!
