I see these are quite heavily discounted on Merlin at the moment. There doesn't seem to be a great deal of info/reviews on the net about their shorts, so has anyone here used them? Thoughts?

I've had a few pairs (the factory's about 10 kms down the road from me) and quality obviously varies depending on which end of the range they are. This is quite hard to ascertain as the model names are pretty random.

Top end stuff is comparable in price/comfort to Assos, but I think the Swiss have the nod on quality. I had a mid range pair and the pad disintegrated fairly quickly.

The Attaque shorts on Merlin are a very good price...

I have there ator bibs and they are decent.

The straps in particular are good (really soft) although i prefer the overall fit and pad in assos. However at the merlin price of £55 you will struggle to get a better pair of shorts in that price range.

They have just upset their uk importer too so supply may be a problem soon.

I really liked my pair of bibs by them, until I left them behind at one of the campsites at Ironbike 🙁 .
