In the past I've bought De Walt power tools which in some cases have lasted 20 years. Screwfix sent me a catalogue with an Erbauer sliding compound mitre saw. Sale price reduced from £170 to £128. How does Erbauer's longevity compare to De Walt? Comparable or Chad Valley?

I have an Erbauer drill. It's good. Really good actually, seems about as good as De Walt which costs millions of pounds more.

Bottom end of the semi-professional tool market
Castings are poor, tolerances ,well lets just say they dont know how to spell it.
longevity compared to a pro brand like bosch, makita or dewalt is night and day.Dont waste your hard earned on erbauer crud
Maybe as for a couple of spare guns but the cross cutters are completely shite as are their sanders and jigsaws
you'll pick up a decent dewalt cross cutter for under £150,look for the ones on ebay where its owner bought it to lay a bit of laminate and its lived in a cupboard ever since
