Hello, was wondering if any of the local people could tell me if there is anything decent worth riding on a night ride round Enty res. Working wednesday night so need to stay up late tomoz so thinking of going for a ride and then sleeping all day. Only ever stuck to the paths round Enty and then ended up somehow on the A666.
Any suggestions?

Apparently Entwistle res is a dogging site, so you may get more of a ride than you've bargained for...
You can do loads from Entwistle.
Are you local as there is afew guys in Edgworth/Entwistle who ride most wednesday nights.
but for a bit more info:
1) from the duck head up the tarmac track but keep going where the tarmac goes right. When you come to a [url= http://www.streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?X=372226&Y=418081&A=Y&Z=115 ]4 way junction[/url], take the left & then follow your nose all the way to the A666.
At the A666 turn left for about 300 m and cross the road [url= http://www.streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?X=370488&Y=418378&A=Y&Z=115 ]just past the farm[/url], then follow this track all the way up & up the hill to [url= http://www.streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?X=367493&Y=419068&A=Y&Z=115 ]here[/url].
That is all under 1 hour. From there you can drop down the hill, over a gate and at the bottom turn right & do a good loop down through the woods, up to Darwen Tower & back or go left & do a reasonable loop back via [url= http://www.streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?X=370028&Y=415945&A=Y&Z=115&ax=369653&ay=416165 ]this track[/url] & then over the golf course to Turton Tower & back to the Duck.

3) Winter Hill is quite rideable for a reasonable day out following option 1 & going up [url= http://www.streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?X=367928&Y=415220&A=Y&Z=115 ]this track[/url]It is a great climb & descent.
Yeah I'm fairly local in Harwood area. I usually ride up from Longsight Park in Harwood, follow the route of Bradshaw Brook, up through the Jumbles through Turton bottoms towards the wayoh. Then take embankment road from the Wayoh up to Entwistle Res or if its quiet towards the duck and down to Enty.
Would like to do the route from Harwood through Dunscar and up winter hill near San Marino's if possible.
Would love to come on a ride on Wednesday night when im not working if its possible?
