Because the England team is made up of mainly mediocre players who aren't on the same level as players from other countries such as Spain, Argentina, Brazil, Germany etc. Vastly overrated. Managed by a bloke who's only in it for the money, I'd say.
Capitulato could put out a team capable f beating this French team, but doesn't seem to understand the need for games such as this to be proper morale-boosters, and instead wants to try out new players/systems. Fair enough, but do that against someone like Lichtenstein or Saudia Arabia, not against one of our greatest European rivals. See, a decent England manager would see this as a 'must win' game. A game to help build confidence in the squad.
Tis a truly dire performance so far. Only Gerrard looking anywhere near a proper international player, as bloody usual.
Because England never play like a club side properly, great movement with a almost telepathic like understanding (Brazil) between players.
Even when we had the highly talented Paul Gascoigne we failed for this very reason, I often saw him put a great pass though (eye of the needle stuff) but nobody reading what he was thinking.
We will not win anything for at least 50 years in my view.

See, the way to play these sort of games, is do the biz in the 1st half, get 2 or 3 goals, then chuck the new faces on in't 2nd half. Now, Liverpool could be looking at Gerrard being out for a few weeks possibly, which isn't exactly what they need right now ffs.

take a look at all the kids on saturday afternoons running round on a full size pitch after a size 5 ball and all the mums and dads loving the winning team 'go on son!!!'. these mums and dads are prem supporting season ticket buying sky watching football fans. There's your root cause
