After a premature leak developed on my 36 floats I decided to opt to Enduro seals this time instead of the usual Fox ones. My options were CRC or buy from the USA saving about a tenner. The leak wasn't bad enough to need the seals urgently so I bought from a guy in the USA off Ebay.
Seals arrived after a couple of weeks, separate oilseals and dust seals which look more businesslike than the Fox all in ones.
Anyway, the oilseals went in fine, foam rings were fine but the dust seals were very very tight indeed. One side just kept popping out when I'd got it seated. E mailed Real World Cycling about the seal fit - they seem to be the US distributor. They said a rogue batch of oversize seals got out and caused a real mess. I guess mine are some of them.
Chris at Real World Cycling offered to send me some replacements FOC even though I didn't buy mine from him. I ordered an extra set for the spares drawer and contacted the seller on Ebay who offered a refund when I send the original seals back.
Chris has since said he'll send me a complete set of FOC seals as I have to send my originals back for a refund.
What superb service all round - my advice is if you want replacement seals for your 36's get some Enduros from RWC. Their product is superior to the OE kit and service is along the lines of the legendary Hope ๐
