Got some Endura baggies and waterproof baggies in medium - spot on. Recently tried some 3/4 tights - medium way too small (I couldn't get them on!). Just received a baabaa jersey (lovely btw) in medium - its waaay baggy - even the neck is more like an xl. Nice kit but they need to sort their sizing out!
Tell them, perhaps?
Their stuff isn't worth buying anymore
I've found Altura to be very bad sizing wise. Bought a pair of waterproof trousers in large. I can't even get them past my thighs 😕
I measured the waistband and it was a 30 inch waist 😯 How the hell can that be classed as large.
Even the de facto standard Singletrack baggies are way off on sizing, I have a 34-36 waist (depending on how much riding i have been doing) and bought XL and even on those the elasticated waistband gets stretched out quite a bit to do the popper up.
I got some FS260 shorts in XL, found them quite big but OK.
Got an Altura base layer in XL and that fits like a chicks bra top.
Got a Gore jacket in XL and it feels like a medium!
imho, cycling gear sells for big money compared to regular clothes. sadly far eastern manufactuer cost next to nothing for any clothes regardles of type.end result=huge mark up on infrequent sales of cycling gear.
you would like to think the big companys would take more of an interest in quality control tho.
Cycling gear seems to be all over the place sizing wise. For non cycling clothing I'm a large. Most Italian cycling stuff is made really small so I generally end up with XL or XXL. The Endura FS260 shorts I have are XL whilst my Specialized ones are L. Becuase of this I refuse to buy cycling clothes on line and always try on before I buy.
I bought a cyclejersey.com top in my usual XL it was like wearing a second skin and showed too many bulges so I sent it back and got a XXL that one was like a tent I could have comfortably got it on over my small camelback
IMHO clothing is one of those areas of cycling where it really is essential to try before you buy unless you enjoy sending stuff back in the post. Worth paying a bit extra and getting down to your LBS.
Nukeproof is dead right, buy from your LBS. Then if it's XS,or XXL,it doesn't matter as long as it fits.
So most of you boys are proper heffalumps them. Boomba Boombae Boommba Boombae. 😉
yeah endura makes me feel like fatty smee !
That's cos you is fatty.
Got to agree WTF!
I sent some Endura Singletrack shorts back for a warranty claim to CRC. They were a Large and up to a 34" waist. I am 36" and they were fine.
They have cocked up with the exchange (probs not their fault)and sent me some MT500 tights which were in Singletrack short packaging. Result I thought as they are £28 more. Same size in a Large and I can't get them up past my thighs! Bugger
They'll be going back Monday
