No but at long last someone is taking flat winter shoes seriously.

From the article you linked

Endura says the shoes will be available in autumn 2023

So something to consider for next winter. Good to see stuff like this coming out

i got too excited and didnt read it all, good for next winter then,
had planned to get the shimano mw7 spd for this winter, but missed the boat,

i got some second hand Northwave road GTX boots off ebay the other day , so need to cut them open and stick a 2bolt spd in them, should be good for tarmac/gravel duties where I'm not planning to get off the bike..

will hopefully get a look of these later in the year

That is looking good.
However, I've got a year old pair of MW5's and new pedals to wear out first...

They look pretty good.

It would be nice to replace my MT500 overshoes with something I don't have to heat on a radiator for 5 hours to soften and then go into my max heartrate to fit them on my shoes.

Myself and a few pals got them to replace worn out 5:10 Goretex boots.

Done a few rides now, in gobbing Tweed Valley conditions.

Initially not quite as sticky as the 5:10's, but that's comparing a brand new sole with a ragged 3 y/o one.  After a few rides I'm more than happy with the grip and they are both warmer and more water-resistant than the 5:10's (could be they're slightly taller so fit further 'under' my trouser leg).

Recommended.

@intheborders How do they size compared to the 5:10 boots?

There is the perfect solution to wet weather boots, but unfortunately no one makes it, and it resides firmly in my brain.
One day someone will make it and I will be fuming, and happy at the same time.

I’ve been tempted by the clip version as they’re the only winter boots I can try on locally. However Endura’s somewhat mixed rep for quality puts me off blowing £130 on something that may or may not fail in short order.

Same as 5:10's, size up from the normal size - and plenty of width as I'm having to run them tight for my skinny feet.

@JonEdwards I'd suggest you don't need to worry about the quality; mine have been fine, well used last winter and this and are holding up just fine with some harsh conditions in NE Scotland.

Really impressed with my clipless pair. Very warm with normal socks on and I sized up so I could go with some thicker ones too.
