I'm going! As an End2End virgin I'm not really sure what sort of terrain to expect so have no idea how long it will take me, but looking forward to it all the same!!

There's gonna be three of us on that Liverpool ferry as foot passengers (I'll be the big worried looking bloke with too much hair). None of us have done it before and I've got two aims
1. finish
2. don't miss the last bus

See Ya There

All 3 of us riding have never done end 2 end before.
The wife's never ridden any event before but has trained hard
2 are Transrockies finishers.
Like with the TR Wiksey just keep peddaling and you'll get there.

It's quite an event. Not that far really, but there's a bit to it. Every time you crest a hill you can see the next three waiting! Save a bit for the last road climb as it can feel a bit 'cliff like'. Enjoy.

Best advice - don't set off too fast as after some road miles you face a 1400ft climb!

On the other hand with an extra 400 riders it may be like a meat counter queue at the first climb.

Personally i've done so little this year i just want to finish!

see you at the signing on (no 709)

There will be 4 possible 5 End2End virgins on as foot passengers on the 11.30 Liverpool ferry, don't forgot your bike locks for the hold in the boat.

We may have one or even 2 ferry space/s and event entry/ies available for £25 if anyone's interested.

You will need to change your name though 😉

Email me at johnmoore200 @ aol.com (no spaces) if your interested

Saturday afternoon bimble.

Anyone fancy it
Manx site

It will be a very short & gentle ride along the tracks, up Ballacotch, a quick lap of Chibbanagh finishing through Port Soderick and along Marine Drive.

Aiming to leave the Sea Terminal at around 3pmish

Ask for The Woollybacks or Bonzo

From Manx.net

"Okay, it's confirmed by my colleagues at Ronaldsway Met. Office & the latest charts from UKMO & the model from the American GFS that the settled spell that has started today (as predicted) will last for several days. So it will stay dry now up to & a few days beyond Sunday, with moderate or light breezes -- that's also good news for the many riders & friends coming over on the ferries. The ground conditions will gradually dry out & firm up in many places much more than the soft & damp or wet / soggy mud mess at present.

Sunday itself is going to be fine & bright with a good deal of sunshine in prospect, breeze averaging 10mph from the N or N-NE (behind us 😀 ) & temperatures rising from around 12C initially to between 17 & 19C at best in the afternoon / mid 60's F."

Have a good time you lot.

My wife and non-riding friends will be cheering you on from the house at the bottom of the last climb. Don't worry about them as they'll probably have had a couple of tipples.

I'll be performing my usual duty of making sure that there are no stragglers behind me.

At least it'll be sunny 🙂
