Noticed this on my front tyre (Vittoria Mezcal), some of the threads peeling away. Running it tubeless at around 35psi.

It's gonna pop, isn't it

Maybe, maybe not. I’d be keeping an eye on it and carrying on. If would guess it’ll start to lose pressure slowly before actually going pop, probably bulging a bit first.

Even if it does, stitch it back up (dental floss) and a big patch on the inside will probably see it right.
(If I was going on holiday or riding a massive tour or similar, I’d replace it to avoid faff, but for local pootles I’d just keep on riding it)

Superglue smeared outside.

Big patch inside.

She will be reet for another good few miles.

Thanks. Seemed OK this morning (It probably will until it doesn't) I'll keep an eye on the pressure or weeping sealant, and then look at repair/replace.

👍

I had this on a tan wall mezcal. Ended up with sealant weeping through in several places. Replaced it with the grey ones instead

It is a risk of tanwall tyres. But I'd just glue it down, keep riding and if air does start coming out put a mushroom plug in -
