That rather depends on what drivetrain it has doesn't it?
Some chains are very specific to the particular groupset.

If you want to keep the hyperglide plus functionality, the best bet is XTR. The surface treatment means more miles per £ than any other Shimano 12 speed chain.
12sp XTR on my ebike (and my non ebike).
Ebike (Orbea Rise) came with an SLX which lasted about 800 miles. Replaced with an XT that did 1500 miles and now I'm on an XTR and hoping for good things.
To be fair, if I'd have been a little better at maintaining the SLX and XT, they'd probably have lasted better. I had a few rides where I'd forgotten to rewax the chain and got the dreaded squeak, squeak, squeak of a dry chain a few miles in. 30 dry miles is probably very bad for a chain.
This is mostly Surrey Hills and Peak District so depending on the weather, it's either dry grit or wet grit that gets all over everything.
XTR - best durability by quite some margin and the cost per mile is far less than an SLX chain for example. Between 3 and 5 times better still if you Putoline/wax it.
X01 is also an excellent chain for ebikes and it works ok on Shimano cassettes.

Anyone know what length chain the average FS bike uses (not high pivot)? The XT is available in 108, 112, 118, 120, 128 & 136 and about £20 price difference?
Either count the links in the existing chain, or calculate from chaunstsy length, half the chainring, half the cassette whatever you need from the mech and add a bit.
Last chain I fitted was 116L from a 118L chain on a 29er hard tail with 32/50 gearing and a 12 speed Shimano mech.
