Just received a sram rear mech from eBay that was sold as a 1 x 11 GX.
When it's arrived it's massive, bigger than a 12 speed Eagle rear mech so I after a bit of a google it looks like a 2 x 11 long cage mech.
Sell is saying he's a bike mechanic and it 1 x 11.
How can I prove it's a 2 x ll?
The only number I can find on it is 44T53666227 but google doesn't find anything against that number.
Any ideas?

Guy is positive its from a 1 x 11 bike but it's obviously a 2 x 11 from the pictures in these links.
I was hoping the part number would convince him.
1 x 11 seems to have a 2.1 clutch and a 2 x 11 has a type 3 clutch.

it does look like there aren't any options re: long case and short cage on the SRAM site, and to confuse things even more, bike-discount.de list a medium and long cage 2x version, but the images are the same. and there's only long cage versions listed for 1x.
but yes, they look very different. the 1x has the x-horizon paralellogram whereas the 2x seems to have a relatively traditional setup.
