Looking at getting some panniers for the commute. I need to be able to remove them when I arrive with a minimum of faff.

Looking at something from carradice or ortlieb, probably a pair of fronts on a rear tubus fly rack as I don't have that much stuff. Or possibly the single lezyne rear pannier.

Anyone have any experience with these and how easy they are to remove and refit.

i have ortlieb back rollers... the clips on the top have a strap which joins them, you lift that strap and it undoes the clips and it lifts away.

really couldn't be any easier to remove, but they are still solid while attached; its a very good system.

As Dave says, the Ortieb system really is very quick, and can be done single handed.

I've got a pair of Ortlieb rears, but only use one most days. Handy to have the extra capacity when needed though.

Orliebs here too,

Thinking of getting a "Downtown" with the new QL3 system. Looks like it will be much better for carrying off the bike.

++ for the Ortilebs

Just pick them up by the handle and they come off. Solid at all other times

Been using mine for 1 year now and they are as new, totaly waterproof and bombproof construction make up for the initial high cost

Vaude or Norco for a cheaper than Ortleib alternative. Norco waterproof have a rixen & kaul quick release. I use them on the hire fleet at work with no problems.
