I'm looking to do a ride at Eastridge this weekend but would like to extend it with a loop over to Stiperstones. There looks to be a bridleway out of the forest & plenty of bridleways round the area. Are these passable , worth riding? Any recommendations would be appreciated (legal please , could end up as a club ride!)
Cheers
Dave
Yes, most bridleways are passable. Some nice downs on the welsh side.
Pub in Stiperstones is very good for ale and food. The shop is something that needs to be seen to be believed, they have everything camping gear and all sorts. We went in once looking for a snack and drink. No hot drinks but some instant ones, so the shopkeeper put the kettle on and made us a brew.
Have fun
If you email me how long and what sort of thing you like i'll mark you up a route.
I would offer to show you around but I'm away this weekend.
If you want a chortle go down the bridleway into Mytton Dingle; it's just a whole hillside's worth of steep wooden steps. I'd love to see a horse get down there, it's silly enough by bike! It's a good job the bracken is quite soft to fall into... ๐
Looking to do 25ish miles , prefer down to up & like tech stuff! (but not too insane :D)
