I rode Eastridge with a friend a few weeks ago & she got a touch fazed by the switchbacks on what I believe to be called Son & Daughter of Clifff (the downhill after Topography where the trail splits) What I could do with knowing is what the other route is like? It used to be signed as a black whereas the switchbacks were red, but I've ridden the top half on a coaching day with 'The Don' & it seemed a lot easier! (We then pushed back up & went down the switchbacks)
Is there anything serious on the 'black' route before it rejoins the red?
We're thinking of going again but she's panicking about that section (she coped ok with the rest of it)

Any help appreciated

Dave

I'm not sure of the answer to your question but if you are a Facebook user then there is an Eastridge Trail partnership page where someone may be able to give you a detailed answer.
