What's the best direction for the gap South West to North East or the opposite. Most routes are described as going towards Tomintoul but is going that way best or would it be just as good the other way?

I've been through a couple of times and can't say it would make any difference which way you go through - either way you'll have to lift the bikes over the fence in the middle!

That's the answer I was looking for. If I head south then I can link up with a lovely bit of downhill singletrack through Abernethy forest 🙂
