Sorry guys but its a tyres question.
I have ridden the Dyfi five times in the past and always been dogged by lots of punctures. Last year I had four using Kenda Nevegal and Blue Groove combo. Admittedly the Nevegal (on the rear) wasn't the kevlar belted jobbie but even so four punctures!!
this is the only time I get punctures, everywhere else never a problem just on the Dyfi.
So anyone got any suggestions on tyre options for this year, I will be riding a Cove Hustler and I am fairly light at 12 stone or so.
Do you get snakebites or are there thorns n stuff out there?
If its snakebites go for some good Double Ply tires with a bit more pressure, it its thorns n stuff get some SLIME and maybe cut an old innertube open, and add it in the tire as an extra protection layer.
I used to come top 20 on Racing Ralphs - 40 psi with inner tubes, not punctured once having ridden it 5 times...
