I'm considering going for a build with an Onyx D1 fork and Topaz T3 shock, but haven't had the opportunity to try these out, let alone any DVO suspension.

My main concerns are reliability, maintenance intervals and access to spares/servicing. After all, it's a much smaller brand than Fox and RockShox/SRAM, so I'm a little concerned about support.

I have a Jade rear shock. Loving it so far, spares should be available easily and it's home-serviceable without any daft, expensive tools (Looking at you, Fox X2).

I own a Topaz and love it. It's very reliable and incredibly supple. TF Tuned service all DVO products.

I have a DVO fork and am enjoying the feel/performance - only air fork I have taken to in recent times (my other forks are coil). I can't speak for long term reliability or such like as only had it since December. Lower leg service easy enough and I changed the travel (no parts required) from 160 to 140 without stress - although I did have to make a pin spanner.

I’ve got a Jade X coil shock. Only done a couple of hundred miles on it but it’s all good so far. Spares are easily available as is the service documentation.

The green anodising is a bit lairy though...

I have the Topaz T3 shicknon a Yeti Sb66 and vastly rate it compared o the fo Rp23 that came on it.

Dead easy to service again needing no special tools and a full strip down manual is available on the website.

Spares are available but had trouble getting aircan seal kit but I think that is covid delays.

I have Diamond fork and a Jade X shock, love the feel of both and the fork is getting on a couple of years old (should get it serviced!). Had a Topaz before the Jade x and it was the nicest air shock I'd had.

Had a Topaz on my old Stumpy, massive improvment over the stock shock - had a couple of issues setting it up but spoke to DVO diredct who were very helpful - I'd have one again

Many thanks for all your comments! All the feedback seems overwhelmingly positive, which is great to hear. I especially like the sound of being able to easily service everything at home. I don’t mind getting my hands dirty from time to time. In the end, I think I will order an Ibis Ripmo V2 with an Onyx fork and Jade X coil. Sounds like the Topaz T3 is also a great option, but since I live in the Alps, I think that a coil might have an edge over an air shock.
