CG is coming round soon with her poorly forks
http://www.singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/forks-only-compressing-a-little-any-ideas-please
and I shall be fixing them.
I'm hoping it's something obvious, but does anybody have any info on taking said forks to bits if not?
I do like to be prepared! ๐
Thanks in advance!

Get a very very big hammer...
Or, right, tell her they're forked, then she'll go off and buy a new pair, then give those ones to me and I'll slip you a tenner. ๐
Everybody's happy! ๐
Phhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Thanks for the useful input. Or not. As the case may be.

They're basically Pace, but with a different sticker on aren't they?
From memory, lower leg removal is basically the same as Rockshox (which I have a feeling you might know how to do... ๐ )
Damper side is more of a PITA. There's a few rinky dink ball bearings hidden in the Launch Control widget which tend to disappear into the innards if you're not careful and they're an arse to get back into the right place too. If you don't the LC doesn't work...
Mine never had issues with locking out prematurely - more usually the opposite, oh and they pooed their oil everywhere once too. Not especially difficult to work on though.
Yes, that's pretty much it as I've now discovered! ๐
I didn't touch the damper side because I don't know how much oil to put back in, and what weight it should be. Forks feel a lot better after a basic service though, although CG was worrying over nothing, they were't locked out at all. Maybe a bit too much air in them for her.....
So I changed the oil and set the air pressure for her, and explained how to adjust it if it wasn't right. ๐
