I need a new rear wheel. This looks good, I thought. DT Swiss E 1700 Spline 30 - Rear Wheel. This looks like what I want but listed as "Shimano / SRAM 9/10/11 speed" which although confusing I think (based on other listings from Tweeks) means a standard / older style freehub. I'd need SRAM XD.
My current wheels are SRAM Rail 50. These use DT hubs rebranded as SRAM. Service document here with some pictures:
Anyone know if the free hubs are compatible / interchangeable? I.e. I can use the freehub off my current wheelset on the new wheel?
Alternatively, anyone seen any good deals on non-boost (142x12) 650b 'Enduro' (rear) wheels?˙I have not...
Looking at those diagrams you should be able to swap yout XD freeehub and end cap srtigth over from the Roam to the E 1700, they both use the Star ratchet system.
