Rocky riding has removed the lever. Its now somewhere in the mud at Wharncliffe. Off to garage with tools.

How on earth did you smack the lever off? was it not protected by the fork leg?

I thought mine would snap in the very cold, but it didnt.

Seen a few wear out and stop working - the plastic splines get worn away by the metal and no longer undo the QR. Nightmare on the trail if you don't have a big spanner with you and expensive to fix.

Very simple removal with 10mm spanner on the "nut" end.

More evidence, if it were needed, that 20mm and a maxle is teh awesome.
