I’m still running a front mech on this so will need to squeeze in the shifter but that shouldn’t be to difficult. Had a chat with a mate who swears by them and the difference it makes to riding and having stalked every thread on here that seems to be the general opinion
Yes. You need the 30.9 mm version for your frame, obviously.
I still run 2x9 or 3x9, so I run the lever on the right, above the bars.
If you can fit a 150 mm drop version in, I would recommend that. That is 450 mm long, according to the website, compared with 400 mm for the 125 mm drop version.
You can still get over the bar levers that fit with shifters.
If you are concerned about length then a oneup where you can shorten by 20mm might be an idea.
You can buy the 3x shifter if you prefer that. I don't know why they don't make that an option on all the posts.

Just make sure you can fit enough of the post in the seat tube to get your correct saddle height. Measure how far in your existing post will go as a guide.
The external brand x would work fine for you - if you’re running a left shifter select the 2x lever to run on that side above the bars - or you could run the 1x upside down (above the bars) on the right hand side. The latter works fine but looks odd.
Cheers all, I will do some measurements on the seat post and have a look at the options in the morning and probably push the button.
Box - will let you know
check the insertion you have on your Seat tube as well. Kinks and pivots may get in the way! Get the longest drop that will fit definitely. I have ended up buying longer droppers for each bike as I have got used to riding with them.
If the BrandX is not available then have a look at the PNW cascade - I have one on my Cotic hardtail and it is very nicely made and you can change the drop by 30mm enabling maximum drop on the bike - Think it will be about £30 more plus the lever on top.
Seat post is 320mm Not including the clamp that fixes to the seat rails and I have it 150mm proud of the seat clamp when riding. Looks like external only routing as well.
Now to find the right post
