Time for a new bike for daughter (5 footish) moving up from 24" wheels to something, err, bigger.
Old threads, where I can find them, suggest XS frames on usual brands.
Anyone got owt?
Had a similar discussion a could of weeks ago.
I ended up buying a 14" frame and using spare 26" wheels and various spares. It's spot on so far.

Literally just got to the end of a nearly 4yr frame for the kid .. from just before 9 to 12 1/2
Started as a XS 27.5 with 26" wheels, 120 dropper and 142mm cranks through mullet 27.5/26 to full 27.5 and 165mm cranks/170 dropper and its finally being replaced right now
The only debate is if he gets my medium bird or large capra...
My 9 year old son is 5ft bang on with long legs (forget his inside leg measurement) and he managed to comfortably ride a small Specialized Rockhopper 27.5 in Evans at the weekend. The bars were a bit on the wide side but are easily trimmed. He's moving on from a 24" Whyte 303. Off the back of that I have ordered a Rockhopper Comp.
I bought a second hand XS Trek Marlin off here. Frame is really nice and light. 27.5 wheels but I had some good 26" wheels and replaced the crappy suntour forks with some Manitou's. It has a straight head tube for 1 1/8th straight steerer but you can fit tapered steerer forks in by fitting an external bottom head set cup. I got a nukeproof one and it worked a treat. Pic below with 29" wheels. Its now got 27.5's in again as daughter has grown.

csb where are you? I have a 14" on one inbred in the shed that #2 has grown out of, 26" wheels and a bit of mix and match components.
I have a lovely tweener XS 27.5 Ragley Blue pig frame with RS forks and wheels to suit in the classifieds...
I also have a small Sonder Signal ST frame (with hope headset) for a slightly bigger kid too...
I've just built a 29er for our (just) 11 year old. In tern our (just) 8 year old has gotten a 26'' bike that I built up for him from a 13.5'' Kona frame.
The quicker we can standardise on wheel size the better!
OP i'm in the same boat for a 10yr old who is getting towards the end of his time on the 24". CRC's ebay store (tri-sport) had some xs and s vitus 27.5 frames a while back, i've picked one up but he's not too keen on the colour (black and red). Worth a look to see if there are any left.

My daughter has almost outgrown her 16" wheeled bike at 7.5 years old., so I have been looking at the next options; probably a 20" wheeled bike, although haven't looked into 24" bikes and whether she would fit one. She's 120cm at the moment.
Anyway - since getting a gravel bike recently I have been looking to sell my 26" Inbred, as 4 bikes + turbo bike seems a bit excessive - it's not an amazing build, but is half decent and relatively light with a carbon rigid fork.
Having read this, I'm now considering cleaning it, stripping it & putting it in the loft for her to have when she gets old enough, rather than sell it to someone for peanuts & then have to buy something else in a few years time. I've also go a Reba Team fork that can be put aside too, in case she gets more adventurous.
