This look dodgy to anyone else?

Seller seems confused about whether it's either a Specialized or a Rocky Mountain - in fact he seems to think it's both!

Surely if you had a 1-ride old bike you'd remember the make & model, no?

Could be worth asking them for the frame number and contacting the local police?

I love the fact he thinks it has 180mm travel at the front despite the spec saying its 160mm!

Hey all,

Thank you to the 3 people that have rung us this morning and to the person that emailed us last night alerting us of this bike.

It certainly seems suspicious.

I've forwarded the details to the Police so the matter now rests with them.

I know it's tempting to send this 'character' messages trying to find out more information but i'm worried if too many people contact him he'll realise something is up so if you could refrain from doing so that would be great.

Thanks again for all the support. It's certainly nice to have people go out of their way to do good for someone they have never met, so again thank you.

I saw this add too and it did get me scratching my head a bit, spend that sort of money on a bike and then stick Halfords own brand pedals on....?

Dodge

He's offering collection in person, so I'd put a massive bid on it.

I'd also recommend contacting the mods and asking them to delete this thread in case he spots it and goes to ground.

really scary the number of pinched bikes about ,local junk shop constantly has quality bikes on e bay and often breaking/split for parts.recently saw a premium us made frame and parts for sale quite local to me and took a look at his feed back .hundreds of upper end bike parts and various bikes sold in last 18 months ,makes me wonder why the police seem not to be bothered.
