got my new fox 36 open bath and they feel realy rough and just terrible had fox before but never brand new is this normal or have i got a dud

The only thing potentially needing a bedding in would be the seals? (If 'bedding in' actually does anything...)

How are factory-fresh forks any different to freshly serviced (with new oil/seals) ?

Just had some 36R's returned from Rebound Suspension... and they work perfectly first time.

you're probably suffering from stiction at the seals. this should eventually go away as the fork seals bed in. how long you've had them and how often you ride them will dictate how long it takes for the seals to bed in. if you've had them for a while and ridden them regularly and are still suffering from stiction then you'd be better of taking to your LBS to have it looked at

I've been riding some new 36 Float Rs for a couple of weeks - had quite a lot of stiction at first, but a few rides of getting them sh*tted up + running lower than normal pressure + a good squirt of stanchion lube has made them feel a lot better
