So, following on from my thread on Monday, I now have a wheel that is of no use. However, the hub must be worth something to someone.

So best way to take it to bits without damaging the hub so I can flog it and recoup some of the new wheel costs 😀

Cut spokes with snips and un-thread the spoke stubs from the hub. Simples

If you do this if leave the rim tape on. It stops the first few spokes from flying out the rim as the tension is released.

And point the spoke you're cutting towards the ground, preferably with the wheel on the ground. They can properly go off like a rocket

nipple spanner and undo all the nipples and simply remove the spokes, much less dangerous

If its a rear its easier to take the cassette off first.
