Getting the wee guy a new bike as he is growing at alarming speed. It's a hotrock 20 which I see has a disk mount on the fork and I have an old set of hopes somewhere in the shed and have found a few places selling 20" front wheel with disk hub. I am wondering if the spacing will be right or the mount is just for show.
Should be more spoke clearance on a smaller wheel.
So probably a wee bit of shiming here and there.
I don't see why it shouldn't go straight on really.
Dunno about the mount on the fork but ive done is on giant mtx 20"bikes for customers before - a2z disk mount out the back too - then rebuilt the existing rims onto new hubs with disk mounts
It can be done even if a touch overkill 🙂
That was another thought if I got a disk hub and build it into existing rim.
