Hello,
Last time I posted I was super impressed with the responce and generosity of the forum. I was hoping you might help with a little head cratcher. Having just bought a set of hydraluc brakes I was hoping there might be a quick solution to fitting 6 bolt brake disc mount to a set of wheels that do not have this capability. Is this possible or am I correct in assuming you need to replace the hubs and re-build the wheel or buy a new wheel set?
Thank you
Shaun
there's no way of fitting discs to non disc hubs.
New wheels it is
You'll easily pick up a set of wheels. Try a wanted ad in the classifieds. I think I have a useable front one you could have if you lived nearby. I'm in Fife. Postage would be more costly than the wheel.
New wheels unfortunately, your cheapest and easiest option will be buy a secondhand set from the for sale section here. Another palace to look is merlin cycles and on-one they some times have budget wheels on offer.

Nice set here I am open to offers
Brand new second hand wheels, there are a high number of Hope pro II hubbed wheels about on here, ebay and pinkbike.
Go for something with cartridge not cup n cone bearings as they can be renewed when necessary instead of replaced.
You definitely have disc mounts on your frame n fork right? Excuse me for asking the obvious but it's worth considering!
Thaks everyone - I though this might be the case - new wheels it is. All advice much appreciated - yeah forks and frame have IS fitting which works.
Thanks again!
