Seems I should wheel out the XL Soul drawing and update the tubeset then. I'll do 10 like last time. If I end up having sell off 7 of them at half price 2 years later like last time I'm coming to find every single one of you tall buggers!

If I can afford it, I'd have one. The first bit isn't super likely though.

@ Cy - I too would be interested in seeing the drawing on an XL Soul 😀

Even with a layback post on mine I find I have to use a 90mm stem 😕 I thought I was about the same height as you actually 😕

As mine is currently:

Yes, I remember expressing interest in that, too. And in the Alu Inbred a few years before that. Brant had an amazing ability to forget about/lose interest in/decide there was no market for Alu versions of On One's steel frames. I did end up getting a Scandal after my Pace RC303 cracked, but it never quite worked for me. :-/

It's odd that UK microbrands largely seem focused on steel frames and there seems to be little market demand for them to do Alu ones while Alu frames like the Chameleon and the Stiffee from other countries remain popular.

Last time we did an XL Soul, it had a 530mm seat tube (so that's about 20.8") and a 624mm top tube (Large is 610) because we couldn't get down tubes any longer. Head tube was 135mm (Large is 120). With 29er tubing around now the top tube could push out a touch more, but 13-14mm top tube length increases are around where I pitch size jumps. I could run these into a batch for delivery in October.

What do we think?

I must admit the 931 looks mighty pru'tty. The wheels are absolutely ****ing gopping though.

ChrisL - not sure if KinesisUk qualify as a micro-brand - they're all designed here by a bloke in a shed(ish) and manufactured in Taiwan - but they have focused largely on Alu frames for some time.

Im disapointed. I opened this topic expecting a furry cartoon character-style Cotic :

That sounds right to me, no need for TT to be longer that 624mm.

My Birthdays in October as well 😉

Cy, Please do a run of 10 in a wee tiny size as well! I have a wee female riding buddy from Sheffield who is pining for one, but the small is too big for her.

There's a carbon fibre Ogg-Pog in the works, I hear.

Nobeer - how tall is your ahem, friend? I ask as I have not yet got Mrs O to sit on a small Soul and would be interested how they size up.

ononeorange - at the risk of offending her, I'd say about 5'. She's tried one and it's too big.

Can't believe I'm one of only 3 people to pay the proper price for a XL soul!
Its sat in my mates garage unridden for the last year!
Only sold it to go down the 29er route.
Thinking of get a XL Solaris to join my Swift, Scandal and my waiting to be delivered Salsa Horsethief

to be fair i think cotic is a stronger brand now, shouldn't have a problem shifting x10 XL's worldwide over a space of time
