Evening all,

What's your Difference?

My max for running is about 187 and for riding it's 185 so about 2bpm.

Lots of people (decent athletes) I work with have big differences. One guy who is practically a world class athlete has a huge difference with his cycling max hr a lot lower than his running (he's done a 9hr iron man).

Anyone know much about this? Why is mine so close for running and riding? Any clue what this means?

I'm same as Wilburt, generally find my HR is on average higher when running compared to biking, especially off road but the max is similar.

Surely if you are hitting with your "actual" maximum that is a pretty bad thing. I'd imagine it's just a difference in how hard/ close you can push to your maximum HR
