Been looking at building up a hardtail which is relatively light so I can ride it up, but strong enough to hack back down at speed. Ideally something suited to the alps which can take a beating while not beating me up. Like the look of the Transition Trans Am, but budget will probably mean it has to be secondhand and the dialled alpine seems to fit the budget. What are peoples opinions of them and lets see some photos...

yes. lots already written here about alpines. do a search. also remember there being a load written bout them in a what hardtail?" thread
