Looking for a pair of mud tyres, ideally i'd go two sets, both wet screams and swampys for different conditions, but money restricts me to one set.
Never tried either so need some input.
From what i understand -
Swampys - For wet gluey weather, not for the torrential rain, but for the aftermath. Turns nicely, grips nicely on wet roots and rocks.
Wet Screams - For when it's hammering down, there's lots of surface water, for when you need something to cut through the filth. But doesn't turn too well and not so good on roots and rocks.
Are these correct assumptions.
Is the grip difference in the wet night and day?
I tend to find more grip than the majority, finding high rollers (42a f, 60a rear) just enough for the wet days at the moment, just losing it in the worst current gloop.
I want the tyres to make the rest of winter somewhat comfortably ridable.
