Started out for a dull blast along the Ridgeway & then just followed my nose & occasional map stop to head off in the direction of the most bridleways, got well & truely lost found some lovely old trails, picnic in the woods, met lots of pleasant people, finished off with a pootle along the Thames & home in time for a bath & the final BSB race of the season. If you've never tried the map in back pocket unplanned route getting lost on new trails thingy then do so it's ace ๐Ÿ™‚

Great days riding for me as well. Went round grizedale Forrest in the lake district. Rained all the ime we were out but who cares, it doesn't get past your skin . Used parts of the north face trail to link up the bridalways in the Forrest. ( Breasty haw, low parkamoor and nibthwaite ) You could ride everyday in there for a month and still not find all the bridalways.
