I told mummy for a while now that the bad man talks to me at night, but she didn't make him go away and now he's made me do this. ๐ ๐ณ

Singlespeed Ti456 with funny bars. If I had the money it would have been something that had big wheels too.
Bars are...interesting and give a sort of power assist past a certain angle of turn. 1st off-road ride will be tomorrow night. We'll see if the bad man talks good...
"I cant promise not to touch myself either."
Looks like the bad man wouldn't touch your granny ring with a barge pole...
P.S. How does your chain guard stay on? Does it have washers? I brought one and the normal chainring bolts are too small
Gave up on the Pipedream then?
Oh yes. 5months, no sign and endlessly broken promises were enough for me. Still, my deposit came back quick enough.
How does your chain guard stay on?
Erm... With bolts? I'm not sure what you mean really.
You don't want me to tell you that they had two Ti Pipedream frames on their stand at the Bristol Bikefest then..
Hah! Sliders with engraved headtubes? one of them was probably mine.
Given the weight of the steelies and PD reckoning that the ti's were only a pound lighter, I'm better off with the Ti456.
4.5lb ti bike anyone? Defeats the purpose if you ask me.
I'm baffled as to why they are making their bikes so heavy.
Lack of butting I suspect.
@Scienceofficer: I wanted to fit a bashguard to my singlespeed, so I brought a cheap hone expecting that I could just bolt it to my (none hone) chainset.
But the bolt holes in the guard are to big. The normal chain blots just fall through! I guess I need some magical washes, or bigger bolts...
Did you use any washes/ bigger bolts??
Does that make sense! Pics would be better
Just seen this - very nice. Obviously would be better with *cough* bigger wheels! ๐
You need a couple more spacers under that stem.
Oh! yes, I remember the bolt thing now - I had the same problem - I got some in through my LBS. Shimano do specific ones, although its possible to space normal ones out with the right washers.
Yes mike, I'm not happy about the spacers, but 456's have a short HT and I can't really get much of a tuck in due to a duff spine.
Its a new cockpit, so the bars may drop once I've got used to it.
Oh how nice....tsk
(whispers) does Mrs Science know yet (coughs quietly so she doesn't hear)
Nice, with the proviso that single speed with a tensioner is nearly always "wrong-ish"
Sorry.
Nice post BD....
very nice, have you tried a half link to give a magic chain length and then you can do away with the tensioner. Is that pops old frame?
I'm not going to go half link. I can't see that I'll get that long out of a chain before needing to tension it due to wear anyway, plus, I have a granny ring nestled in there for when the big days in the hills have knackered my legs and I can feel the cramp coming on.
