Hey, can anyone give me the lowdown on derailleur choices for a 1x10 setup?
Plan to run a Shimano 11-36 cassette, Renthal 32t in front.
Don't want to spend a bunch unless I need to, so I guess choice is limited. Like my current Shimano XT 9 speed, so will probably go with Shimano XT Rear Derailleur RD-M780 GS medium cage. Any better options? Thanks!

Running XT on my Five with an XTR Shifter, no problems.
You can get the XTR Shifter from Swinnertons at Cannock chase for £60 so thats a bargain to be had and well worth the money over the SLX that was on my bike.
SRAM X7 or X9 are a viable alternative .. my g/f has just replaced her old xtr rear mech with an X9 and reckons its a little better

So I could get SRAM X9 Rear Mech 10sp Short Cage - how does this compare to XT? Like the idea of a short cage...

Can I run XTR shifters with XT mechs?
