[Closed] Deore XT chainring bolts,what torx head size?

Used to using to allen keys.But damn its a torx head! What size for the chainring bolts?

If you have one of these it'll solve all your torx issues, since they're cropping up everywhere now.

From what I remember the XT ones are T30, but I wouldn't quote me on that.

Oui, T30 for the outer bolts, IIRC the nuts are a T40.

Sorry, I was thinking about some of the others, FSA etc. which are T25, didn't think about the Shimano being different

All I know is that it's the biggest one on the Park Torx multitool, as I had to buy one when I got my SLX as they turned out to be a different size to rotor bolts.

They are Torx 40 for both sets of bolts (middle/outer + small). You may need a tool for holding the backing nuts still too, but sometimes you can get away with it depending whether it was assembled with threadlock or not
