[Closed] Deore groupset prices

Evening,

Looking for a good price on a Deore groupset for my mothers bike. She doesn't ride hard so this will be fine. All that is really needed is:

F. Mech
R. Mech
Chain
Cassette
Crankset and BB (ideally 170mm for shorter legs)
Shifters

If it comes with V-brakes and these can be sold on to make it a good deal then fine.

These are my starting points price wise, has anyone seen a better price:

Dave Hinde £159 no V-brakes, 170mm crank option

Merlin Cycles £195 including V brakes, 175mm cranks

Any advances?

Don't use Dave Hinde - loads of bad reports on them around the web.

actionsports.de have some good prices and are very well rated on here - not sure about for what you're after but it's worth a look

Call Merlin and see if they will match the no V brakes price.

OR try Rose Bikes

I would agree with andyl or actionsports are doing the slx groupset for £200 posted but that would probably be above what you really need from what you say.

Yes I wasn't really too keen on Dave Hinde but price is good, but agree that might fade to insignificant in the face of poor service.

Shame Action sports don't do Deore, I'd go for SLX at that price but keen to keep it 9spd so parts are interchangeable with others in the family fleet.

Just added up the parts on Rose, £142! but crankset and cassette out of stock

Have you tried Ribble?

Dave Hinde?

My LBS... never had a drama everytime I've been in to be fair.
