To be honest you've not got a lot of chance without local knowledge.

AFAIK there may be a group ride from the station car park about 6:30/7 PM tonight

I'd tend to agree with Steve. Delamere can be very frustrating as you head down various dead ends or blunder into boys.
Is llandegla or Disley an option?

Can you follow a strava ride as a route?
If so - here's a 16km version and a 22km version

If not - good luck!

I can screenshot a map if you can't - from veloviewer, so it uses openstreetmap which is pretty decent.

Thanks Alex, i've stopped using Strava because of the issues down in the Surrey Hills. I might just suck up the drive and do Llandegla and go there before i get to the B&B.

Sui - following a map will probably be painful - so many junctions that you'll be second-guessing every 2 mins.
I'm really grateful for all those group rides I went on with Sideways Cycles and Dave Dodd a few years ago. I don't live close otherwise I'd show you around.

The bike shop at Delamere (Tracs) does a shop ride, but I think its on a Thursday. Worth giving them a call to see though.

You could always stay in the bike-specific areas.
Manley Hill has a 4x track and a few other descents and jumps.
Then the hill opposite has some techy descents, chutes and the road gap.

This is my 22km route and I've shaded in the bike-spcific bit in pink.

HI Alex, well i did Llandegla in the end, i drove straight there, then further north to the B&B. I quite liked it. I get some of the comments on another thread about comparing it with CYB, but i liked the black runs flowyness to it. Not too sure where the "required skill level" bit comes in as they were a bit tame compared to other parks, it felt as though it was running a little slow in places in the jump line as i couldn't get enough speed to "air the jumps". It also rained half way round which is usual as soon as i enter Wales. Couldn't believe how many people there were as well! Got over taken on a climb by an E-bike like i was standing still ๐Ÿ™

appreciate the effort of getting that Map together, maybe next time i come that way i'll have a look.

Sounds good. Yes, the Llandegla Black is a red in anyone else's park. The first couple of woods descents are great and when you manage to piece together the jump line it works well.
My only problem is that it seems like a bit of a thoroughfare everyone seems in a rush - maybe doing laps. Very different feel to CYB imo.
